Cultivating Our Stories 2025

by Eva Weitzel by May 5, 2025

I spent my Saturday enjoying worship with Kimberly Williams and speaker Kelly Minter. Kelly spoke on Matthew 8-9 and Luke 8:43-48.

Through touch, Jesus healed a leper, a woman, and a twelve-year-old girl. They believed in Jesus’ healing power. Usually, people would not touch those who are considered unclean. But Jesus was different.

What does Jesus want us to do? He wants us to be like Him and have compassion on those suffering. This is the work of the harvest. The disciples were few, so Jesus was calling for more followers, more workers. NorthStar Women are working on bringing in the harvest.

There were approximately 50 women from my church at the conference. I enjoyed catching up with many and getting to know others I did not know. This conference was the start of a beautiful relationship.

Then, in the afternoon, three women came to the stage, shared their stories, and spoke about their life challenges. One had a medically challenging relationship with her Mom, one had a child with medical issues who died young, and one has a child making questionable life decisions. It was heart-wrenching listening to their stories as I found I could relate to different parts of them. We all have stories that can require grace and healing.

Thank you, NorthStar Women’s Network, for holding this conference.
