July 6-July 12, 2025
If you have been in church for any significant length of time you probably have heard of Spiritual Disciplines. The Disciplines are tools to be practiced and they are varied. As a follower of Christ, these disciplines should show up in our every day lives as we are being transformed into the image of Christ. I have learned to refer to these disciplines as practices because they need to be practiced throughout the days of my life. Some should show up daily others may be more seasonal or more of a weekly, monthly, or yearly practice. This month we are going to take a look at noticing and naming feelings, feeling them through prayer and responding as directed by the Spirit.
This week's Bible reading: Ecclesiastes 3:1-10
Focal Verses: Ecclesiastes 3:4
Theme: Spiritual Disciplines/Practices
Day 1: FEAR. What are you afraid of right now? In what ways does this fear impact your daily walk with the Lord?
Day 2: GRATITUDE. What are you truly thankful for today? Write it down. Tell God out loud about what you wrote.
Day 3: HOPE. What are you hoping for today? Offer your hopes up to God with an open hand.
Day 4: CONFUSION. What feels unclear or overwhelming today? Ask God for wisdom and a light for your path.
Day 5: SURPRISE. What unexpected emotion did you feel today or yesterday? Thank God for the ways He catches your attention.
