November 9-15, 2025

In a world that moves quickly, gratitude invites us to slow down and notice. To notice is to awaken our hearts to the quiet ways God is present—in the ordinary and the extraordinary, in beauty and in difficulty, in silence and in song. When we practice noticing, we begin to see that every breath, every relationship, and every moment is touched by divine grace. Over the next few weeks, lets seek a deeper awareness of God’s goodness and presence in daily life. As you notice and reflect, may you discover that thanksgiving is not only a season, but a way of seeing—a continual act of worship and wonder.

This week's Bible reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Day 1: Notice something in creation today that reminds you of God’s faithfulness. Take a picture or journal it. What detail in creation today made you pause and consider God’s faithfulness? (“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalm 19:1)

Day 2: Notice how God’s mercy has met you in an unexpected place today. Journal in words or images. Where did you sense God’s mercy in an unexpected way this day? (“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” Lamentations 3:22–23)

Day 3: Notice the people who quietly serve others—how can you thank or encourage them? Send a note or text. Journal your experience. (“Serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 5:13)

Day 4: Notice a moment today when you feel peace—pause and thank God for it. Take a picture or journal it. How did it make you feel God’s presence? (“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7)

Day 5: Notice something beautiful you usually overlook and reflect on how it reveals God’s artistry. Take a picture or journal it. Why do you think you missed it before? (“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11)
