You Are Mine
October 27 by Jennifer Quan
But now thus says the Lord, He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel:
Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you.”
— Isaiah 43:1–4
And then God spoke:
You’ve been fighting for so long.
Fighting to stand.
Fighting to be enough.
Fighting to prove what I already settled before time began.
But I created you.
I formed you in the secret.
I have called you by name.
You are Mine.
I’ve seen every step.
Every sleepless night.
Every tear swallowed in silence.
I’ve watched you hold the weight of others when no one held you.
I’ve seen you show up empty, yet still pour out.
And yes—
you’ve grown.
You’ve healed in hidden places only Heaven celebrates.
You’ve learned to fight clean, to walk away when needed, to stay when it mattered.
You’ve done well.
But daughter, when the waters rise-
you don’t have to keep fighting the current.
I am in it with you.
When the fire closes in-
I will not let the flame consume you.
You don’t have to earn the air you breathe.
You don’t have to prove a thing to Me.
Let Me carry the weight.
Let Me carry you.
Stop striving to make yourself enough.
I am enough.
I have always been.
You keep asking,
“Where’s my fruit? Where’s my usefulness?”
But I have been after your heart, not your harvest.
Your surrender has already preached sermons your mouth never spoke.
Your tears have watered seeds you don’t even know you’ve planted.
Your honesty has built altars in places others thought were wasteland.
This moment is not about your doing.
This moment is about your belonging.
I want you to hear Me clearly:
Not when you are fixed.
Not when you are brave.
Not when you’ve figured it out.
But here—raw, cracked, undone.
You are Mine.
I see the places you hide.
The shame you think disqualifies you.
The whispers that tell you you’ve missed it.
And I answer them all with My voice:
I am not afraid of you.
I do not regret choosing you.
I have not changed My mind.
You think maturity means needing Me less,
but true maturity is collapsing fully into My arms.
This— your reaching, your wrestling-
is not weakness.
It is depth.
Let Me love you here. Not after the storm.
In it.
And hear Me-
I am not going anywhere.
I will not walk away.
I will not flinch at your story.
I will not rescind My claim.
For I am the Lord your God.
Your Redeemer.
Your Defender.
Your covering.
Do you understand?
I am not offering you a fragile love.
I am giving you the weight of eternity.
The blood-bought seal that cannot be revoked.
You. Are. Mine.
Before you ever lifted your hands in worship.
Before you ever whispered My name.
Before the pain. Before the fight.
I marked you.
Called you.
Claimed you.
I have not changed My mind.
So stand, daughter—not to earn, but to remember.
You walk through waters that know My voice.
You walk through fire that bows to My name.
Every fear, every lie, every shadow—
must bend to this unshakable truth:
You. Belong. To. Me.
Now.
Forever.
Unshakably.
Irrevocably.
Mine.
