October 25-31, 2026

Recently, I have been reminded all too well that we wrestle not with flesh and blood but with spiritual forces of this world. Spiritual warfare is a reminder that our faith is lived in the midst of a spiritual battle. Yet we do not face that battle in our own strength. Through Christ, we have truth to stand on, Scripture to guide us, prayer to strengthen us, and the armor of God to equip us. The next few weeks of prayer prompts invite you to draw closer to God, recognize His presence, stand firm in faith, and surrender every battle into His capable hands. You will be invited to the same reflections each day: What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Let’s go!

This week's focus: Spiritual Warfare

This week's Bible reading: Ephesians 6:10

Day 1: “If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another.” (1 John 1:7) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Jesus, expose anything hidden in my life that needs confession, healing, or surrender. Help me walk openly in Your light.

Day 2: “God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.” (Corinthians 10:13) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Father, when temptation comes, show me the way of escape and give me the strength to choose obedience.

Day 3: “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Lord, transform my thinking so that my responses come from Your truth rather than fear, anger, bitterness, or worldly patterns.

Day 4: “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger.” (Ephesians 4:31 ) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Jesus, protect my heart from resentment and unforgiveness. Help me release offenses into Your hands.

Day 5: “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Colossians 3:13) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Lord, give me grace to forgive as I have been forgiven, even when forgiveness feels difficult.

Challenge: Create a shield of faith collage. Cut or tear pieces of paper from magazines, old book pages, scrapbook paper, or painted papers to create the background in the shape of a shield in a journal or on an unattached substrate. Then on individual pieces of paper, write words or Scriptures that remind you of God's faithfulness. Lastly, finish with the words: “I will trust God even when…”. Write this somewhere prominent on your piece.
