October 4-10, 2026
Recently, I have been reminded all too well that we wrestle not with flesh and blood but with spiritual forces of this world. Spiritual warfare is a reminder that our faith is lived in the midst of a spiritual battle. Yet we do not face that battle in our own strength. Through Christ, we have truth to stand on, Scripture to guide us, prayer to strengthen us, and the armor of God to equip us. The next few weeks of prayer prompts invite you to draw closer to God, recognize His presence, stand firm in faith, and surrender every battle into His capable hands. You will be invited to the same reflections each day: What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Let’s go!
This week's focus: Spiritual Warfare
This week's Bible reading: Ephesians 6:12
Day 1: “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” (Ephesians 6:11) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Lord, help me intentionally put on Your armor each day and stand firm in Your strength rather than my own.
Day 2: “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Jesus, anchor me in Your truth when lies, confusion, or deception try to take root in my thoughts.
Day 3: “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Father, help me recognize thoughts that do not align with Your truth and bring them under the authority of Christ.
Day 4: “With the breastplate of righteousness in place.” (Ephesians 6:14) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Lord, protect my heart by helping me pursue righteousness and turn away from anything that draws me away from You.
Day 5: “With your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.” (Ephesians 6:15) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Jesus, Prince of Peace, make me a person who carries Your peace into situations where fear, conflict, and anxiety are present.
Challenge: Draw Your Armor journal page. Read Ephesians 6:10–18. Draw a person or silhouette and creatively illustrate each piece of the armor of God. Inside or beside each piece, write what it means to you personally and a prayer asking God to equip you.
