October 11-17, 2026

Recently, I have been reminded all too well that we wrestle not with flesh and blood but with spiritual forces of this world. Spiritual warfare is a reminder that our faith is lived in the midst of a spiritual battle. Yet we do not face that battle in our own strength. Through Christ, we have truth to stand on, Scripture to guide us, prayer to strengthen us, and the armor of God to equip us. The next few weeks of prayer prompts invite you to draw closer to God, recognize His presence, stand firm in faith, and surrender every battle into His capable hands. You will be invited to the same reflections each day: What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Let’s go!

This week's focus: Spiritual Warfare

This week's Bible reading: James 4:7

Day 1: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” (Psalm 56:3) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? God, when fear overwhelms me, remind me that You are with me and that I do not have to face spiritual battles alone.

Day 2: “Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Ephesians 6:16) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Lord, strengthen my faith so that I can trust You when circumstances and emotions tell me otherwise.

Day 3: “Take the helmet of salvation.” (Ephesians 6:17) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Jesus, remind me that my identity and salvation rest in You, not in my performance, failures, or circumstances.

Day 4: “Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:17) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Holy Spirit, bring Scripture to my mind when I need truth, courage, correction, or encouragement.

Day 5: “Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” (Ephesians 6:18) What am I facing? What does Scripture say? What will I surrender, believe, or obey today? Father, teach me to remain connected to You throughout the day rather than turning to prayer only when a crisis comes.

Challenge: Journal Truth vs Lie. Choose one recurring lie, fear, or discouraging thought you have encountered. Divide a page in half: “The Lie” and “God's Truth.” Write the thought on one side and a Scripture that counters it on the other. Decorate the truth side with color, collage, or lettering.
